- The fall colors are showing! Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Along the Bear River, with it's tidal changes, the views are constantly changing. Combine this with a tour of the local winery in Bear River (high season, the picking of the grapes!) and you are sure to have an amazing trip!

Digby, with it's fisherman's wharf, waterfront boardwalk, shops and restaurants makes for a picturesque fishing village. Be sure to visit the Toymaker and Grace United Church, the only church in North America built by shipwrights.

Digby Scallop Days. Every year Digby celebrates it's strong bond with the ocean and it's reputation as Scallop Capital of the World. Try scallops, enjoy live music along the water front and visit the many market stands with, among other things,local arts and crafts.

Wharf Rat Rally. This event is sure to make you feel like going for a ride.... on a motorcycle! On labor day weekend (last week of August) the little town of Digby is turned upside down! In a couple of years this event has grown into a world-class motorcycle spectacle with over 30,000 visitors from all over North America. Stunt riders, jet ski performances, live local music, artists... This event has it all! |

Annapolis Royal, only 30 kilometers from Digby, can be reached by the local Kings Transit bus system. Visit the famous farmers market, enjoy the arts shops, historic Fort Anne, Port Royal (one of the oldest permanent settlements in North America), or the historic gardens. |

Bear River, 'Little Switzerland', is famous for its unique art gallery 'Flight of Fancy', artist studios, Native Interpretive Center, solar aquatic waste water treatment system, buildings on stilts, and its location on a tidal river. Brier Island has a worldwide reputation for its whale-watching and birdwatching. Located at the end of so-called Digby Neck, the drive down is spectacular. Two short ferry rides will get you there.
